DESIGNEX WON’T RUN IN 2015

Diversified Communications has made the difficult business decision not to run designEX 2015. It has, unfortunately, become clear to the organisers that despite significant effort and investment, the event model is not sustainable in its current format. That it requires a complete reinvention in order to meet the needs of the market and operate successfully. The thought process has begun on how to deliver designEX for the future.
Event Manager Soren Norgaard said, “I’d like to thank you all for your support of designEX and your understanding of this very difficult business decision.”
The local design and architecture community will be engaged to discuss possible new exciting formats and concepts for the future of the event. “We are proud of the role that designEX has played in the design industry over the past 27 years and although the exhibition will cease in its current format, we will be working with the design industry on how we can re-imagine designEX over the coming months,” commented Norgaard.
For the past 27 years designEX has been Australia’s premier interiors, design ideas and architecture event. designEX has been an industry platform from which to share inspiration and innovation — a platform where design is celebrated; design leaders are honoured; the young and new can learn, flourish and grow; and cutting-edge ideas and practices are showcased. We are sad to hear that designEX will not be running in 2015; however, we look forward to seeing where the reinvention will take it in years to come.
