Nick Skepev’s Zapari has filed plans to replace the much-loved Batemans Bay Hotel with a four-storey hotel and luxury apartments.
The Cox Architecture-designed plans for the 0.391ha site at 1 Dolphin Avenue, Batemans Bay, will comprise more than 70 rooms plus 11 luxury three-bedroom townhouse apartments.
There will be seven two-bedroom hotel rooms on the ground floor of the hotel with 64 one-bedroom hotel rooms on the first and second floors.
The hotel’s basement level will have 72 carparking spaces while the ground floor will have a gym, breakfast room and a business centre.
The townhouses will each be three storeys with three bedrooms, two bathrooms and two carparking spaces apiece.
The project is expected to cost $20.5 million and construction is slated to start in the third quarter of 2023 once the project is approved.
The hotel will take on the name of The Sebel Hotel in a partnership with Accor.
