Momo Inspirations aims to highlight numerous designers and their work. We learn where they get their design ideas from and how they select products. We also see these distinctive projects they have created for their customers.
In this latest release, we discuss two of Naomi Findlay’s most recent ventures, Carrington House and Waukivory Estate, with her. Naomi discusses how she bases her design choices on utility and emphasises how crucial it is to maintain a constant connection with nature.
This was a project purchased pre covid and completed during the two years following. It was a slow deliberate renovation so I could share with our community who are always wanting to see behind the scenes of my Reno’s.
The handles have been applied in numerous contexts. Almost everything, including standard kitchen cupboards, vanities, hip storage options, and even hanging racks.
Every property I renovate draws influence from both the inside of the building and the land it is built on. When I am designing beautiful spaces, I place a high emphasis on integrating the home with nature.
Clear, uncomplicated, connected, and liveable. Instead of working in their kitchens, people prefer to reside there. fewer working spaces and more residential spaces.
My genuine love is for this farm. a dilapidated farmhouse that required a lot of care, attention, and labour.
To make this an incredibly calm and thoughtful place for people to come and remain, we have injected literally every ounce of energy we possess.
This is highly dependent on the space. They don’t have to match; as long as they are all singing the same song, you are secure.
I am a huge antique bronze fan and with brushed brass as a close second.
Ohhhhh dressing up out kitchens with styling items is top. Texture and movement in finishes, which is more and more popular thankfully.
No part of a design can be an after thought. Whether handles are your jumping off point for the whole design or they’re an element equally as important as door profiles or bench tops….. either way they can’t be an afterthought!
How they feel in hand, the range of colours, and the customer service
My Waukivory estate ones hands down.
A big thank you to Naomi Findlay for taking part in our Momo Inspirations series.
