GH Commercial collaborated with the renowned Astina Group to bring to life a series of custom flooring solutions, realizing their luxury design visions.
Astina Group, a family-owned company, believes that luxury experiences should be accessible to everyone, not just the wealthy. They constructed affordable 5-star serviced apartment hotels, boasting top-notch finishes and amenities. Astina Suites Penrith, a project close to the hearts of directors William and Thomas Schrumpf, stands as a testament to their commitment. This property offers 58 two- and three-bedroom suites, a rooftop pool, bar, gym, and function center. Additionally, it features a ground floor wine bar, dining areas, retail spaces, and commercial offices, creating a vibrant hub of activity at the heart of the CBD.
GH Commercial’s design team closely collaborated with Astina Group to ensure their vision came to life. In the guest bedrooms, they opted for Feltex Spinifex, a 100% flecked wool broadloom carpet, known for its softness and durability. The classic neutral tone of Sand Storm served as the perfect backdrop for the striking cobalt and bronze furnishings.
For the kitchen and living areas of each suite, they selected Apollo Hardwood in Spotted Gum Natural, which combines the warmth and texture of timber with hybrid flooring technology, offering easy cleaning, waterproofing, and impact resistance.
To add a touch of bespoke luxury, GH Commercial employed their world-class Designer Jet® technology to create a 1.96m wide custom carpet based on Joanna Schrumpf’s specific vision. The design featured a free-flowing central image in creams and golds, surrounded by a contrasting charcoal border, forming an eye-catching pathway. Moreover, a beautiful dense floral pattern using Designer Jet® 170z cut pile sheet adorned the meeting room spaces, incorporating stylized flowers in various shades of blue, bronze, and a hint of pink.
GH Commercial takes pride in being at the forefront of custom carpet creation with their Designer Jet® products, offering nearly limitless colors and designs. These carpets can be produced in as little as three weeks* and come in tiles, planks, and sheets, with the 1.96m wide carpet rolls ideal for hallways and corridors. They are easy to install, generate less waste compared to traditional broadloom carpets, and are stain-resistant, meeting the Australian Carpet Classification Scheme’s contract heavy or extra heavy-duty standards. Furthermore, all Designer Jet® carpets are officially Declare Red List Free.
For the foyer area, GH Commercial created a series of exquisite hand-tufted wool blend rugs, incorporating the signature color palette of cream, gold, pink, and charcoal. The runner designs showcased abstract shapes and spatters overlaid with deconstructed traditional motifs, complemented by a central circular rug that added a touch of uniqueness to the space.
These custom rugs are hand-crafted from various premium materials, including wool, silk, viscose, and cotton, providing a beautiful tactile experience and high-quality floor furnishings.
The GH Commercial team, fueled by their extraordinary Designer Jet® carpet printing technology, takes immense pride in contributing to the creative vision and distinctive style of the remarkable Astina Group project.
