Crafted by the renowned Collins and Turner Architects and brought to life by North Construction and Building, this striking three-story structure sets a new standard for educational facilities. Boasting sleek office pods, collaborative meeting spaces and state-of-the-art audio-visual technology, it has been tailor-made to nurture creativity and foster groundbreaking ideas within our community.

But that’s not all – the project also breathed new life into the heritage-listed ‘Loxton House,’ transforming its upper level into a dynamic innovation hub seamlessly connected to the main building by a stunning glazed footbridge adorned with bespoke artwork.

At the heart of this architectural masterpiece lies DecoBatten®, seamlessly blending functionality with aesthetics. The meticulously crafted DecoBatten® Radius aluminium battens adorn both the interior soffit and exterior facade, with the creative design and application creating a spectacular interplay of light and shadow thanks to the purposely positioned holes in the design’s exposed bases. Hand-cut to varying lengths and meticulously powder-coated in Manor Red, inspired by the region’s rich wine heritage, DecoBatten® elevates the building’s charm while seamlessly harmonising with the surrounding sandstone structures.

Incorporating DECO’s 50x80mm Radius two-piece batten profile into its design, the Tertiary Education Centre at Muswellbrook showcases the pinnacle of architectural innovation. The DecoBatten QuickClick™ system ensured easy installation and a flawless finish, free of visible fixings. Perfect for walls and ceilings, this advanced system eliminates the need for extra support materials, setting a new standard for efficiency and style in architectural design.  As visitors explore the space, they’re not only greeted by its striking beauty but also by the seamless integration of technology and practicality, making every aspect of the Tertiary Education Centre a testament to forward-thinking design.

Reflecting on the project, Stuart Jones, NSW Sales Manager for DECO, remarked, “Bringing this vision to life was a journey of dedication and precision. Each DecoBatten® piece was meticulously crafted to perfection, ensuring a flawless integration that enhances both form and function.” Discover this groundbreaking influence of DECO at the Upper Hunter Innovation Precinct– Muswellbrook, where its creative installation methods are pushing the boundaries of architectural innovation.
