Showstopping Kitchen | Porcelain Plus Australia

Presented with a blank canvas to work their magic, this kitchen’s design and build team knew the final result needed to be nothing short of showstopping. They set to work choosing an eye catching colour scheme and stylish high-end appliances and designing a layout that suits both day-to-day family life and the homeowners’ entertaining needs.

This included a cleverly designed butler’s pantry, with plenty of space for storage, food prep, and making messes away from the main kitchen space. The team knew a modern, sustainable stone surface was critical for the success of this kitchen and butler’s pantry design – one that would complement the home’s aesthetic while standing the test of time. Sintered porcelain was selected for its optimal surface characteristics, including stain resistance and UV stability.  The homeowners and design team visited Porcelain Plus Australia to choose their ideal surfaces, aware of the brand’s reputation for offering a vast range of European sintered porcelain.

Infinity’s Tundra Select appears throughout the main kitchen, including on the island with double waterfall ends, and the bench-to-ceiling bookmatched splashback. Experience and precision are critical when installing sintered stone as precise measurements and precision cutting are paramount. The design and build team engaged Porcelain Plus’s own in-house cutting and fabrication team for the job, resulting in the perfectly vein-matched surfaces you see here. Ascale Cosmopolita Gray, also from Porcelain Plus Australia, appears on the butler’s kitchen benchtop and splashback, creating a sense of cohesion with the main kitchen while giving the space a unique aesthetic. The end result is a breathtaking culinary space that meets the homeowner’s day-to-day needs while simultaneously nailing their aesthetic requirements.
