Since 2016, Rylock has manufactured custom windows and doors for over 700 Carter Grange homes. This partnership perfectly showcases its shared commitment to innovation, craftsmanship and delivering high-performance solutions tailored to meet the individual needs of each build.
The latest dual occupancy from Carter Grange is the epitome of elegance with a luxurious façade that hints to the quality architecture and material selection throughout the home. With a striking combination of timber batten cladding and render, the first floor features a dominant architectural series of columns that frame the Commercial Series Double Hung Windows, drawing the eye upwards. The windows provide excellent ventilation whereby the top and bottom sashes open at the same time for the effective crossflow movement of air.
After entering through the luxurious Victorian Ash timber entry door, the occupant is met with soaring ceilings up to 3.4 metres in height, pouring natural light into the home. Rylock’s expansive Commercial Series Fixed Lite Windows featured in the kitchen and butler’s pantry, with a 4.5 metre-wide product that runs the entire length of the kitchen. This thoughtful design element brightens the space and creates both a sleek and modern aesthetic.
Indoor and outdoor living spaces are seamlessly connected through the 5.4 metre-wide Commercial Series Stacker Door with a 50mm sill that can be rebated for zero-threshold installation to blur the boundaries between inside and out. When the door is not in use or there’s inclement weather, the Commercial Series Awning Window can be opened to facilitate ventilation.
Commercial Series Awning Windows were also specified on the first floor of the home, where in the master bedroom the product is positioned above head height for privacy and allowing furniture to be positioned below. The Commercial Series Awning Window features stainless steel stays and Truth™ Bar operator hardware for unrivalled ease of operation at the largest of sizes. Furthermore, all Rylock products with an opening panel or sash feature dual seals to help minimise heat loss and suburban noise within the living environment, which promotes a peaceful ambience. In a dual occupancy setting such as this residence, this is all the more important, however when a home requires significant noise reduction, Rylock offers a range of acoustic glazing solutions, too.
Bedrooms three and four and their respective ensuites also feature Commercial Series Awning Windows for their ability to enhance the flow of natural light to create a bright and airy atmosphere, whilst promoting controlled ventilation throughout the seasons.
This project is a testament to the power of collaboration, combining Carter Grange’s design expertise with Rylock’s custom manufactured window and door products. Together, they create homes that are both visually stunning, balanced with exceptional design to stand the test of time.
