A diamond partnership

The Laminex Group is a long-time supporter of the KBDi

In the several years since it was established, the KBDi has been committed to providing ongoing professional development, accreditation, training and invaluable networking opportunities for kitchen and bathroom designers around Australia. While its team of hardworking staff is instrumental to the development and operation of these initiatives, the KBDi’s work wouldn’t be possible without support from its members and industry partners, allowing the organisation to continue playing its important role in the kitchen and bathroom industry.

As the leading manufacturer, distributor and marketer of premium decorative surfaces in Australia and New Zealand, and a KBDi Diamond Sponsor, The Laminex Group has been a strong supporter of the organisation for several years. While the company boasts an impressive portfolio of brands including Formica, essastone and Laminex, it also produces raw wood panels, an important component for its decorative surfaces, and supplies doors and handles.

So why did The Laminex Group decide to become involved with the KBDi?

“The Laminex Group has continually maintained a strong commitment to the design industry,” Adam Jarski, The Laminex Group’s Marketing Communications Manager, says. “As such, the KBDI is a key partnership in which The Laminex Group can support the development of new kitchen and bathroom designers and provide them with the latest in colour and design trends and also innovative new product ideas.”

Establishing relationships with KBDi members, hosting information sessions and other events, and supporting the KBDi’s annual national awards program — The Laminex Group sponsored the three major awards presented at design20ten: National Certified Designer of the Year, National Kitchen Designer of the Year and National Bathroom Designer of the Year — are just a few of the benefits KBDi sponsors can enjoy.

Another advantage is the ability to inform designers about the latest trends and products to hit the market. “The main benefit of being part of the KBDi is that we can directly liaise with the design industry on new product developments from the group and help keep them at the forefront of new design ideas and colour inspiration,” Adam explains.

While continuing to support the KBDi is on the cards for the year ahead, there are many exciting developments on the horizon for The Laminex Group, including “a variety of significant new product innovations and surface designs”, which can only mean good news for the Australian design community.
