Staron Solid Surfaces

Not only does Staron deliver a visual wow! it offers a durable, easy to clean surface. Not limited to the interior scope of a project, Staron can also offer many design opportunities in an exterior environment. These qualities make it an excellent product for the imaginative to explore and push boundaries to create stunning design outcomes.

Each year, to capture these amazing projects the Staron Design Awards offer a platform to celebrate designers’ knowledge and ability to showcase solid surface within the built environment.

This year’s Commercial Award Winner was design by MoMa Group, a stunning office fit out located in Melbourne. The Staron reception counter is an eye-catching sculpture placed within the beautiful surrounds of the green wall as you enter the building. With both bold and intricate form and detail to create the organic shape, the reception counter wraps around, hugging the workspace nestled within. The curves don’t stop at reception, with the boardroom revealing a large custom table that allows both individuals and groups to gather. Not only are the applications at this Ecocycle fitout creative, but we also love the connection between the recycling plant and the reuse, repair, renew and recreate qualities that Staron offers.

With Lee Hardcastle from Enigma Interiors taking out the Residential Award. Catering to their clients eclectic and interesting personality, the new kitchen design needed to suit her character and make a statement within the home. Wanting the Island unit to jump out like a piece of artwork, it had to include interesting lines and angles. It needed to be intriguing and alluring. Staron was the perfect product for this oversized kitchen. Calculating precise degrees and lengths ensured a perfect stool overhang was achieved across the face, while maintaining maximum bench space. Working with Staron, integrating the sink was a benefit that was not overlooked. The soft White finish settled down the entire space, giving a luxurious elegance to the room.

These applications showcase both angled and organic design possibilities that are achievable from Staron Solid Surface. The ultimate building material that offers solutions from small to large scale design objectives.
