Zip Water has released the HydroTap G5, aiming to set a new standard in sustainability and performance. With 85% of consumers adopting more sustainable practices in recent years, the demand for eco-friendly solutions has never been higher according to research by PWC.
“Zip Water has always been at the forefront of sustainability in our industry,” Zip Water ANZ managing director Mike Abbott says. “Our most eco-friendly HydroTap yet demonstrates our commitment to providing sustainable solutions to our customers.”
During high usage periods, the HydroTap continues to deliver consistent chilled water while enhancing energy efficiency by up to 24 percent. In standby mode, the HydroTap is ten percent more energy efficient while ensuring consistent chilled temperatures on demand.
The HydroTap G5 features an eco-friendlier refrigeration system utilising R290 refrigerant gas, a natural propane known for its low Global Warming Potential (GWP).
Also introduced is a redesigned front fascia with integrated airflow vents, allowing air to be expelled out of the cupboard more quickly and efficiently. This enhancement in air-cooling technology not only maintains 100 percent water efficiency but also improves energy efficiency.
Zip Water has consistently championed sustainable practices across its operations and has achieved a Ecovadis Gold sustainability rating for its approach two years in a row. This includes utilising 100 percent recycled packaging in collaboration with Better Packaging Co and empowering consumers with tools like the Zip Impact Calculator to quantify the environmental benefits of the HydroTap.
