Aspen has long been a destination where alpine luxury meets American Western heritage, and nowhere is this more evident than at The Snow Lodge at St. Regis Aspen. Now in its sixth winter season, the lodge has solidified itself as the ultimate après-ski retreat, blending fine dining, high-end design, and exclusive entertainment at the base of Ajax Mountain.
Set within the iconic St. Regis Aspen Resort, The Snow Lodge was founded by Jayma Cardoso as the winter counterpart to her Montauk-based Surf Lodge. Since opening in 2019, it has become a magnet for celebrities, tastemakers, and design enthusiasts alike. Its latest season continues this tradition with a curated mix of art, music, and fashion, creating an immersive environment that celebrates Aspen’s progressive design culture.
New York-based Bluarch Architecture is behind The Snow Lodge’s striking interiors, where opulence and playfulness meet. The Supper Club, the lodge’s signature restaurant, is adorned with François-Xavier Lalanne’s whimsical sheep sculptures, while a ceiling of oversized snowflakes adds a touch of winter fantasy. Adjacent to it, the Jade Room exudes a nightclub-like atmosphere, enveloped in lush green velvet with bold cheetah motifs—a space designed for late-night revelry against the snowy backdrop of Aspen.
Beyond its interiors, The Snow Lodge is distinguished by its ever-evolving artistic collaborations. This season, the venue has partnered with Wynn Fine Art, the recently opened gallery showcasing works by Warhol, Lichtenstein, and Basquiat. The lodge itself features pieces from Barcelona-based artist Connor Addison, whose surrealist depictions of human figures within monumental architecture seamlessly echo Aspen’s dramatic mountain landscape. Sculptor Ray Howlett’s luminous glass works from the 1970s and 80s further enrich the setting, casting an ethereal glow within the Jade Room.
Music remains central to The Snow Lodge’s allure, with a lineup that continues to draw global talent—this season saw the return of Diplo, setting the stage for an electrifying après-ski experience. With its seamless fusion of contemporary art, high design, and curated entertainment, The Snow Lodge at St. Regis embodies the essence of Aspen’s ever-evolving luxury scene, proving that après-ski is just as much about aesthetic indulgence as it is about unwinding after a day on the slopes.
